For more than 50 years, armed with a notebook and pen or pencil, I have copied down sayings found in books, magazines and newspapers that tickled my fancy. In recent years my notebooks also included sketches and drawings inspired, at least in part, by the wisdom as I found it, in the sayings. In this, my first book of Proverbs, From A to Z I hope they will bring a smile, an inspiration or trigger a joyful memory to each who reads them.
